nook is a small, independent shop in the heart of Hexham, created by my wife Laura and me.

We opened our doors on Friday 26 July 2024 with a love of thoughtful gifts, beautiful things and the makers behind them. Two years later, on our anniversary, we became nook: a new name for a clearer purpose. Everything sold on shopnook.uk is made by Laura and me.

From our little workshop in Hexham, we create candles, room sprays, perfumes, ceramics, prints, totes and everyday objects designed to bring a little more comfort, character and joy to daily life. Our scent collections are inspired by the places we call home Northumberland’s landmarks, landscapes and the memories they hold for us and our family.

Laura is our ceramicist, making pieces that bring together craft, storytelling and a touch of the unexpected. She has even taught Robson Green to pot on Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes.
